Since 2010 Tim Friede is Professor of Biostatistics at the University Medical Center Göttingen (Germany) where he leads the Department of Medical Statistics. He graduated in mathematics from the Karlsruhe University and obtained a PhD from the Heidelberg University. In 2001 he joined the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at Lancaster University (UK). From 2004 he worked for Novartis Pharma AG in Basel (Switzerland) before joining Warwick Medical School (UK) as Associate Professor in 2006. Currently Tim Friede chairs the German Consortium of Statistics (DAGStat; https://www.dagstat.de/).
