Derek Jantz, PhD co-founded genome editing company Precision BioSciences in 2006 and serves as Chief Scientific Officer. He has a BA in biology from the University of Colorado, a PhD in Biophysics from the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at Duke University. Between academia and industry he is a 20-year veteran of the genome editing field.
